Last week, Skinny Skis partnered up with City Kids; a non-profit organization based out of Washington, D.C that provides kids with outdoor lifestyle and career experiences. We were excited to host Adarius Henderson, who has his sights set on either being a lawyer, a writer, or an entrepreneur. However, he would like to keep his mind open to the array of possibilities his future holds. During his week in Jackson, Adarius got to spend some time working in the various store departments where he learned about the gear sold, the store’s marketing campaigns, and the website operations. Adarius channeled his writing passions, and wrote a gear review of his favorite item in the store the Deuter Aircontact pack. Read more about it in the excerpt below.
The Deuter Aircontact Series Gear Review by Adarius Henderson

I am not an outside person, at all; but when I do decide to head out and backpack the great outdoors, I want a product that makes me feel comfortable. I want a product that makes my body feel less stressed than expected with tons of heavy gear. Some outdoor bags are good to have, but just aren’t as comfortable. There is a bag, however, that I would highly recommend buying if you want comfortable, stress-free backpacking experience.
The Deuter Aircontact series will be there to comfort you and make sure that you have the best experience yet. After doing extensive research and even trying it on myself, I have the utmost confidence in its ability to provide comfort and the highest quality ventilation possible. The bag, as of right now, costs $285.00. This is a pretty nice price for a bag that is packed with a lot of features prioritizing your comfort over anything. The features of this bag includes:
Key Features
- Agile ActiveFit Shoulder Straps- straps that adjust to the width and angle of the shoulder.
- Excellent Ventilation- due to the open cell foam technology on the back of the bag. The cells in the back of the bag allow air to circulate through the cushions, maximizing ventilation. A more ventilated bag equals less sweat as you move through the day backpacking and trekking through the great wilderness.
- Pivoting Variflex Hipbelt- a hipbelt that reduces fatigue and distributes the load evenly to both sides of your hips without one hip experiencing more pressure than the other.
The bag, all in all, is designed to lighten your load and make life comfortable. This bag is a great buy, and I guarantee that you will not regret spending money on this product. The Aircontact 60+10 backpack is available for purchase in store.
