Skinny Skis has been a Jackson Hole institution since we opened back in 1974. In the years since we’ve remained locally owned, committed to the community and to providing the best service, gear, and clothing selection for a variety of outdoor pursuits in the Tetons. Along with our commitment to providing the best shopping experience to our customers we are dedicated to making a difference in our community. We work closely with several local non-profits and organizations, put on the annual Avalanche Awareness Night (fundraiser for TCSAR & Bridger Teton Avalanche Center) and 4th of July10k (fundraiser for JH Ski Club youth programs), plus support local athletes, and sponsor various other events throughout the region to give back to the community we owe our success to.

Positions:

Sales Floor Manager Wage $28+ (DOE) POSITION FILLED

This position is year round full time. Applicants will present resumes with strong background in outdoor retail. References mandatory.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to –

  • Opening and closing procedures 
  • Staff training including point of sales use, store policies & procedures, customer engagement, product information.
  • Assigning daily tasks for floor staff such as restocking, general cleaning, floor/zone coverage.
  • Resolving customer issues/complaints.
  • Assisting buyers with insight & feedback on inventory performance.
  • Resolving minor infrastructure issues in absence of owners.
  • Recognizing need and implementing new store policies (applicable to sales floors only).

Full or Part Time Sales Associates Wage range $22 – $26 (DOE/FT/PT)

Skinny Skis is seeking candidates with strong interest in everything outdoors to join our sales force. Great work environment and benefits, including discounts on clothing and gear, with the opportunity for advancement. Seasonal full time and part time positions available. All applicants must be available to work a minimum of 3 days a week (including weekends), 8 hour shifts. Full list of benefits at the bottom of the page.

Skinny Skis Benefits:

Full Time Year Round

Profit Sharing 401K – Employees are eligible for the 401K Plan if they are: 21 years or greater in age, a full time employee and have worked 1,000 hours or greater during the calendar year. Some exclusion may apply.

Paid Vacation – Paid vacation is an earned benefit after one year of full time employment

Paid Sick Days – Sick Day Pay is an earned benefit after one year of full time employment 2nd and subsequent years – 3 days earned per year

Purchasing Privileges – “Pro Forms” – Discounted in-store and vendor purchasing privileges.

Bi-Annual Bonus – Up to $1000 each fall & spring. Earned benefit for every hour worked within bonus period. Must work the entirety of 6 month period Oct 1st thru March 31st and/or April 1st thru Sept 30th.


Part Time and Seasonal (full or part time)

Purchasing Privileges – “Pro Forms” – Discounted in-store and vendor purchasing privileges – including work-wear apparel allowance – after 30 days employment.

Bi-Annual Bonus – Up to $500 each fall & spring. Earned benefit for every hour worked within bonus period. Must work the entirety of 6 month period May1st thru Sept 30th and/or Oct 1st thru March 30th.
