Junior Athlete Support

Skinny Skis has supported local and regional youth Nordic athletes since 1974, it’s one of the main reasons Jeff Crabtree started Skinny Skis nearly 50 years ago.

Since our beginning, a significant part of our winter focus is making sure young Nordic skiers are fitted on the best equipment possible. Whether it’s a kiddo’s first pair of skis or equipment for a competitive skier with sights on Junior Nationals or colligate racing, we’re committed to assisting young athletes, coaches, and programs.

We offer a year-round discount of at least 15 % off on all Nordic specific equipment and apparel for youth involved in USSA affiliated club Nordic programs, high school, and colligate Nordic racing. Aside from skis, boots, and poles, equipment eligible for discount also includes wax & tools, roller skis, ski & equipment bags, and accessory items. Early (orders placed in the spring) or large orders may qualify for greater discounts. Please send inquiries to skis@skinnyskis.com

We also welcome equipment orders for elementary, middle, and high school physical education programs.

2025/26 Children’s Season Lease Program
(12 & Under only)

Our popular children’s lease program begins November 1^st. We have equipment for general XC touring, skate, or “combi” use. This program is first come first serve with no reservations – we advise not to wait until snow flies as equipment is limited.
Boot sizes from US 10k to 6 (euro 27 to 38). Ski lengths 100cm to 171cm. Pole lengths 85cm to 125cm. Adjustable poles available with “Combi” skis.

Conditions: This program is for children 12 yrs and under ONLY. Lease equipment must be returned by April 13, 2026. Any equipment returned damaged or incomplete will result in a charge of a repair/replacement value. Please note that equipment returned early will not be entitled to a refund or a partial refund.
