Since Skinny Skis opened its doors in 1974 we’ve been 100% committed to engaging with our community---particularly the non-profit groups that help make Jackson Hole a distinctive, vibrant place to live.

The majority of us here at the shop work closely with a variety of organizations---whether their focus is helping protect our environment, youth engagement, the health of our citizens or the activities we enjoy.

There are over 250 non-profit groups that call Jackson Hole home! Of these we work particularly close with the following:

The Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club was founded in 1938 and is Jackson's oldest non-profit. Annually serving over 500 young athletes; the Alpine, Nordic, Freeride and Snowboard programs bring affordable snow sports to our local youth.

Our Support: Our roots run deep with the Ski Club. Both Jeff and Scott are former head Nordic coaches. Phil’s daughter, Ellery, is a current coach. Skinny Skis works very closely with the Club in a variety of capacities---from funding to helping secure performance gear economically---to volunteer work on race days!

Friends of Pathways is the community advocate for a complete pathways system, partnering with government agencies for construction support and ongoing education and encouragement programs.

Our Support: In addition to Phil’s work on their Board of Directors, Skinny Skis works closely with Friends of Pathways on multiple fronts. Recently we secured a $5000 grant via Columbia and the Grassroots Outdoor Alliance. Our annual 4th of July 10km race is a fundraiser for the organization.

Our Support: Our annual Run N Ride for the Cure in early June helps provide funding for the Cancer Patient Support Fund. Over $200,000 has been generated via this event over the past 15 years---all of it directed to people in our community!

Our Support: For many years Skinny Skis has presented Avalanche Awareness Night. Held annually in early December, the event brings together many organizations and equipment manufacturers for a dynamic, informative evening.
