The Deuter Speed Lite 32 is going to treat you right. This pack weighs in at an incredibly light 1 lb 15 oz, but none of the functional aspects seem to have been sacrificed to maintain a lightweight construction. The pack has a nicely padded hip belt for carrying heavy loads comfortably. The dual webbing synch system keeps the belt securely and comfortably in place. A couple of convenient stash pockets on the belt are great for holding quick access items, such as a headlamp or snack. They are just big enough to hold an iPhone 8!
The shoulder straps have excellent padding to ensure comfort. The adjustable chest strap helps distribute weight for the perfect comfort fit. The back panel is padded as well, but with a strategic ventilation system to keep heat and moisture from building up.
Two deep side pockets and a stretchy stash pocket on the exterior ensures the flexibility to carry all of your extras. The Speed Lite features two integrated tool holders along with several lash loops to strap on extra equipment. The lid has a large pocket on the outside, while inside there is a zippered sleeve to secure your valuables.
The inner compartment has an integrated sleeve to keep your water bladder separated from your clothing. A passthrough from the interior allows the water hose to be accessed from either the left or right shoulder strap. It also include a Delrin U-Frame for stable and pleasant load distribution. It’s a great pack for day hikes, light weight overnights, and high alpine pursuits.
