Introducing Altra Footwear

Altra was born not too far from Jackson Hole, in the back room of a Wasatch Mountain running store. They understand Rocky Mountain trail running!

All Altra models share three important components:

Foot Shape-
The toe box is roomy enough to allow your toes to relax and spread out naturally--minimizing the risk of bunions, hammertoes and plantar fasciitis.
Zero Drop-
All models feature a Zero Drop platform that places the heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground. This naturally aligns the feet, back and body posture and encourages a low-impact landing.
A-Bound Cushioning-
Traditional thought says cushioning reduces impact and protects the joints, yet injury rates remain the same. Cushioning does protect your foot from ground impact, but it’s proper technique that protects your joints.

Altra accomplishes both with A-Bound cushioning that protects your feet from hard surfaces and a Zero Drop platform that encourages low-impact, joint-protecting technique!

Skinny Skis features three trail running models from Altra…
The Superior 2.0 is the lightest model…and a midsole stack height of 21 mm.
The Lone Peak 2.0 was designed to tackle more gnarly, rugged trails. Features StoneGuard Rock protection and a 26 mm midsole stack height.
The Olympus 1.5 is Altra’s popular max-cushioned trail shoe. Features a 36 mm midsole---ideal for runners seeking the most protection.

Stop by soon and slip into a pair. Take ‘em out for a test ride. We think you’ll be happy you did!
